Emily M Erstine, MD, MBA
Dr. Erstine is originally from Arkansas. Demonstrating a passion for learning, she first majored in Spanish at Lyon College in Batesville, AR, then earned an MBA from the Walton College of Business in Fayetteville, AR. She worked several years in the transportation industry, where she developed an interest in medicine and decided to change careers. She earned a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR, and ranked number one in her class. She completed her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH, followed by a dermatopathology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
Dr. Erstine has served as a mentor since medical school. Naturally, she enjoys dermatopathology teaching and research, presenting about dermatopathology at regional and national levels as well as publishing multiple manuscripts. She won the Physician-in-Training award two years in a row for Best Resident/Fellow Oral Abstract Presentation and Best Fellow Study Presentation at the 2017 and 2018 American Society of Dermatopathology Meetings, respectively.
Dr. Erstine also enjoys trying new cuisines and fun and interactive educational activities, including outdoor adventures with her husband and two sons.
