Abha Soni, DO, MPH
Dr. Soni is a native of Huntsville, AL. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, AL and her master’s degree in Epidemiology from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Dr. Soni then completed her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and returned to the University of Alabama in Birmingham to complete her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, where she served as chief resident in her final year.
Following residency, Dr. Soni pursued a clinical and research fellowship in dermatopathology at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Her research interests included cancer immunotherapy related work focusing on Melanoma, Basal Cell Carcinoma, and Merkel Cell Carcinoma.
In addition to her commitment to diagnostic medicine and patient care, Dr. Soni is passionate about teaching and mentoring residents and trainees. She is also actively engaged in the American Society of Dermatopathology and serves on multiple committees.
Dr. Soni enjoys acrylic painting, classical music, and being outdoors in nature.
