About Dr. Volk

Dr. Andrea Volk hails from Dayton Ohio, but later moved to Georgia where she finished her undergraduate studies at Georgia State University.

She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and pursued a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. There, she also pursued a fellowship in Dermatopathology.

After her studies, Dr. Volk went on to pursue a professional career in the private lab market, working long stints in different labs throughout the East coast, including Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida.

During her time working in Florida, Dr. Volk taught in the University of Central Florida’s Pathology Lab as a volunteer faculty member. In Georgia, she also taught podiatry residents, providing them training in pathology.

When thinking about her career and what inspires her, Dr. Volk truly enjoys interacting with clients and helping patients.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family, her 4 grandchildren, and her two dogs, Yoda and Chewbacca.
